Nathan Jurevicius
Animation Director
In this wide ranging and reflective conversation, Nathan Jurevicius traces his path from illustration and early digital animation to large scale animated storytelling across film, games and design.
He speaks about discovering animation as a medium where characters can fully come alive, allowing emotions, worlds and mythology to unfold in ways that static images cannot. Jurevicius reflects on formative influences such as early morning cartoons, Japanese animation, and the surreal live action series H.R. Pufnstuf, which shaped his understanding of storytelling beyond surface logic. A central theme is his strong connection to his Lithuanian and Latvian heritage, which has deeply informed his visual language and storytelling. Growing up surrounded by Baltic art, mythology and iconography, he describes a desire not only to reinterpret old myths but to continue mythology by creating new stories rooted in cultural memory.
