Adrian Hosseinpour and Malthe Emil Kibsgaard describe a creative collaboration shaped by instinct, trust and a shared comic language. Malthe came to animation through drawing, games and a desire to create a darker, more satirical Danish animated voice, while Adrian moved from accounting into directing, acting and voice work after discovering that creative work could be something to wake up excited for. Together, they have built a practice where Malthe develops the visual world and characters, while Adrian helps keep the production focused, realistic and possible.

Their stories often begin with ordinary situations: a bus ride, a kebab shop, a politician’s comment, a rent problem, or the feeling of being misrepresented in public debate. Through humor and satire, they explore racism, ghetto politics, representation and the everyday lives of characters named Ali, Musti or Ahmed, allowing audiences to recognize themselves in a more positive and nuanced way.

The conversation also reveals their working method, from quick SoMe sketches recorded over lunch to long-form projects developed through repeated conversations, one-pagers, treatments and outside script collaboration. Honest about low budgets, criticism and learning by doing, they see each film as a step toward becoming more ambitious, while still holding on to the simple belief that real stories can carry a feature film.
